Allison possesses an extensive professional background in sports media, community relations, and event production, as well as nonprofit management. Her professional experience includes two years in public relations with the National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While with the Buccaneers, she was a member of the public relations staff during their 2002 Super Bowl winning season. That same season, the public relations staff won the Pete Rozelle Award, presented annually by the Pro Football Writers of America to the NFL club that always strives for excellence in their work with the media. After a brief stint as an intern with the New England Patriots public relations department, Allison accepted a full-time position back in the warm sunshine with the Buccaneers community relations department where she spent two years coordinating the team’s community involvement.
The experience gained in those positions allowed her to transition into Vice President of Player Programs for The Champions Fund, Inc., a 501c3 national public charity comprised of professional athlete and sports celebrity donor-advised funds. During her time with TCF, responsibilities included program design and implementation, fundraising and community event production, grant writing, public relations, management of community agency involvement, and coordination of sponsorships and in-kind support for client foundations across the NFL, NBA, and NHL. Currently, Allison holds management responsibilities for the Ryan Nece Foundation, Jackson in Action 83 Foundation, and Gramatica Family Foundation.
Throughout the years, Allison has worked on the event production teams of several major events, including The Good Life Experience during Super Bowl XLIII, Pink and Blue for Two in both Tampa and Baltimore, The Huffington Post Oasis during the 2012 Republican National Convention, the Tampa Bay Times Festival of Reading, and countless professional athlete events including galas, poker tournaments, and more.
Born and raised in the Bluegrass State, Allison holds a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY. Following an internship her senior year at a minimum security correctional facility, her career plans changed and she relocated to Tampa where she earned her Masters Degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations from the University of South Florida. Allison currently resides in Tampa, FL with her husband and their two children.
